Secondary education is the phase within education that is responsible for the development of pupils to build and expand on subjects covered at primary level. It is at this very education level, particularly at key stage 3, where values and attitudes formed at primary school are more firmly ingrained alongside the acquisition of knowledge and skills. Advanced level qualifications (known as A levels) are subject-based qualifications that can lead to university, further study, training, or work. In a school setting you would normally study three or more A levels over two years.
Key Stage 3 - ages 11 to 14 (Years 7 to 9)
Key Stage 4 - ages 14 to 16 (Years 10 to 11)
